Elounda’s nearest airport is Heraklion. This is approx 45 minutes by taxi, there are taxis available at the airport, or if you prefer we can arrange to send a local taxi from Elounda to collect you. The cost is generally the same, and the local drivers know the area a lot better. A taxi either to or from the airport is approx 60 euro each way.
Heraklion airport has a bus timetable on display, and there is a bus stop just outside the airport. The bus is not direct and you will need to change at Aghios Nikolaos. The total journey will take about 2-2.5 hours depending on time between the bus changes at Aghios Nikolaos.
